Romeo & Juliet

Thaumatrope Theatre is currently working on our virtual, immersive adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet! This take on the Bard’s most famous tragedy transplants the tale of youthful love, heartbreak, and violence into the present-day social media landscape as the story is reimagined as a fully-virtual experience.

SYNOPSIS:
The Montagues and Capulets are at war in Verona, and a resolution seems impossible. One fateful night, the children of these two great houses, Romeo and Juliet, meet at a party and fall madly in love. Their secret romance leads the protagonists and their families down a tragic path, revealing the needlessness of the feud.
