Thaumatrope Theatre is excited to present our production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night!

Twelfth Night is a twisting, turning comedy about love, identity, gender, family, and performance. When Viola finds herself shipwrecked on the coast of Illyria, she enters Illyrian society by disguising herself as a young man named Cesario. She begins working in the household of Duke Orsino, who is pursuing the noblewoman Olivia despite her deep mourning and refusal to receive suitors. When Orsino begins sending ‘Cesario’ to speak to Olivia on his behalf, Olivia falls in love with Cesario, while Viola finds herself falling in love with Orsino. This love triangle plays out against the backdrop of Olivia’s unruly household, and the reappearance of Viola's twin brother, who bears a striking resemblance to Cesario.
